2024 Spring Track & Field Information
Team Store: If you need a uniform for spring season, you need to order it by Monday March 4th at the web site below. All athletes need a uniform top (either the relaxed fit "jersey" or the compression "singlet") and all black shorts. You may use any all black shorts if you have ones you prefer, or purchase the ones available in the store. You should also have at least one "Langley Track" sweatshirt, pullover, or jacket to wear to warm-up in at meets. All other items are optional. Click the link below to go to the team store:

Meet the Coaches Night is Monday March 4th at 7pm in the Cafeteria: Come meet the coaches and get any questions about track and field answered by the coaches.
Try-outs: We are wrapping up the final chance for Spring track try outs on Wednesday February 28st through Friday March 1st. Try outs will run from 3:40pm to 5:45pm at the Langley track. To make the team, athletes should attend all three days of tryouts. Athletes MUST have a VHSL physical form on file with the Activities Office and MUST have registered for winter indoor track at this website to be allowed to try out.
Practice: We practice every school day from 3:40pm to approximately 5:45pm. Come prepared to run with running shoes and clothes appropriate for the weather conditions. Yes, we run in the rain...so bring extra dry clothes for after practice if it's raining. Athletes are expected to attend all practices or may be cut from the team. Track meets are usually Wednesday night (occasionally Tuesday or Thursday if stadium conflicts exist) and Saturday.
Reminder that track is a varsity sport and athletes are expected to be at practice every day to maintain their position on the team. This means student-athletes are taking care of their school work so they are able to attend practices. "I have a test and/or project due tomorrow." is not an acceptable excuse to miss practice. Your teammates have the same obligations and they are at practice! Similarly, if you have too many other obligations (club sports, club meetings, work, etc.) that would significantly impact your attendance, then don't do track. If you have questions, come talk to the coaching staff.
