CHANGES COMING IN 2025-26 TO ATHLETIC PHYSICALS AND ATHLETIC REGISTRATION
IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING SPORTS PHYSICALS
Legislation introduced in the Virginia General Assembly and recently signed into law will result in two significant changes to the athletic pre-participation examination (physical) requirements for FCPS student-athletes:
- Beginning July 1, 2025, athletic physicals will be considered valid for a period of 14 months from the date the form is signed by the medical provider completing the exam. This is the date on page 3 of the VHSL Athletic Participation/Parent Consent/Physical Examination Form (the January 2021 form).
- Beginning May 1, 2025, FCPS student-athletes are EXPECTED to have athletic physicals completed on the new VHSL Athletic Participation/Parental Consent/Evaluation Form (revised April 2025). Click here to download new VHSL physical form. ONLY SUBMIT PAGES 1,2, and 3.

RSCHOOL REGISTRATION CHANGE
Our current athletic registration platform (rSchools i.e. langleyathletics.org ) will be moving. All of the new sites are in the process of being created. Some important information for you while we finalize this process:
- We will not be able to open registration sites on May 1st this year due to the creation of the new sites.
- We will have a new site address, families will have to create new accounts, the registrations from the current registration system (langleyathletics.org) will not carry over at this time.
- We will send out all of those details once everything is up and running to include instructions.
- DO NOT register your athletes for the 25-26 season with your old langleyathletics accounts. We will send out new information as soon as the site is live. Hopefully in mid-May.
